I love the excitement of scalper trading – The adrenalin rush is better than an abseiling session
– but taken seriously – scalpers are funny little things – they require a fast execution – (seconds to execute an order and amend/exit) v.good broker spreads and higher lot sizes to make profits as they are only going for a tiny number of pips. … The results can also be quite deceiving as well – bearing in mind above requirements – demo accounts normally always offer a faster execution/better spread than most live accounts, so results may not really be too consistent between demo and live accounts, and you could end up quite confused in live trading wondering seriously if you are in fact – the ‘cursed one’ why your results have suddenly gone downhill once you have gone live.
Scalpers normally have quite high stop losses as well – and woe is you if it is ever hit because you will feel it. I can’t see the stop loss mentioned on this one actually. I’d like more info and – sight of the mt4 live results
All conditions taken into account, I believe you either need to meet all criteria above/or have a professional scalper trading for you to be successful on these. I await further results to be proven wrong
Hi Jen, What sort of stop loss would the average scalper use? and how many pips profit?
Hi Jon,
Stop loss – they all vary – but I would say a heart stopping 100 pips? and T/P between 5-10 pips. You seriously need to be on a damn good broker for EA Scalping – one that offers excellent spreads and very fast execution. Oh and a very good VPS. The odds are seriously against you otherwise….you may look like you’re winning for a while – lots of wild dancing and singing – then whoosh – it will pull the very socks off yer feet.
MDP I believe demands such a broker – not that many people actually had success with it – its broker and VPS dependant… maybe if you’re looking into scalper EA’s it might be worth exploring what that product uses in way of vps and broker and testing it with other ea scalpers. Personally I liken Scalper EA’s to being at the fun fair… you have a lot of fun – think you’re on a roll and winning big time and the vendor even looks happy for you – (omg!) but – then – like everyone else – you end up leaving penniless and the vendors pockets are over-brimming with your coins and he has a smile on his face from here to the west coast. If you do go for ea scalpers make sure you’re on cash back because that may be the only real source of regular income you’ll be making from them. (unless of course you meet the broker criteria AND the vendor happens to be good and you have a good vps). What’s more !! – as I step higher up onto my very tall soap box – when the market gives out false signals AND it will – a scalper won’t know the difference and you could hit a stop loss and the EA scalper just take out another order in the same wrong direction again…and again – and again – and again…. (ok maybe my finger got stuck on the again keys! – but you get my point?) Be careful with them Jon. You need to do your homework well on these – or enjoy fun fair activity
Hi Jen
Many thanks for your imput. I think scalping is a bit to risky for me, im going to stick to trading medium term!!
Hi Jon, prob a wise decision for the standard scalpers being released. Keep an eye on Cam’s “suggest an EA” area – A rather expensive one just released – showing possible promise – but Cam will be the better judge on that.
hello all,i used to use mdp with great success and with no vps.in my opinion the only ea that has ever worked properly, until the brokers stopped it hence i now believe ALL eas to be a waste of time.manual trading with the right system is infinately more successful and rewarding!
Hi Marka..Totally amazed you survived mdp without a vps… well done! I do agree with you on the manual trading and that it can make more money per trade – but its a hard – long road route that can add many grey hairs to your head and probably make your hair fall out as well?… you know what – it can probably turn you into an alcoholic as well ..Ummm…. I’m working on the principle that my pc can stil calculate/function faster than I can – so I live in hope of an automatic holy grail…my search continues
hello forexgirljen, have had a private email from the guy that made the forex envelope system, sounds good,RR is about 1:1 , amazing! costs $500 tho.still,i would rather try that than most others.have not bought but am interested.have a look.his name is casper. envelopeprofitsystem ea,cheers, marka
Gee – Thanks Marka – forex envelope RR 1:1!! That is pretty amazing if it is consistent and not just for this week
… although the price tag did make me choke violently… I can barely see the screen through the tears in my eyes. Saying that – worth a watch. Thx. The price tag reminds me of an EA – a scalping one – can’t recall it’s name but it was priced at about $1500!! and was advertised as the best thing since sliced bread. I always kept it on bookmark checking its progress and it turned out to be a complete donut by the reviews!!! Sometimes price doesnt mean anything – just a cheeky seller. Talking of which and I highlighted to Cam – A new route for sellers and signal providers is that they are starting to sell products via paypal now. Paypal’s policy is they do not support digital downloads so their stand is no refunds through them – so be careful if you do proceed how you pay. A new route for the scamsters not offering the customer protection.
“PayPal Purchase Protection only applies to tangible, physical goods that can be posted. Payments for intangible items, services, licences or other digital content are not eligible for dispute resolution” ie REFUNDS.
