- Graduate status revoked. Due to mediocre performance in my live account I’ve can’t leave FAPTurbo in graduate status. As you will see on the right of this page there is now a “My Live Trials” status which FAPTurbo fits into. This is where I trial the EA on my live “real money” account. From here it can make graduate status again.
FAP Turbo was once the EA to beat and had traders around the world jumping on board this Forex trading phenomenon. Now… the jury is out!
FAP Turbo is made up of two trading strategies:
- A Scalping strategy that runs on up to four pairs
- A Position strategy that runs on the EURUSD
Both strategies have been adapted from the popular Forex Autopilot EA’s and are updated frequently to accommodate modern trading conditions. The tests below have been carried out using version 50 of the software.
Different from most other EAs produced these days, FAP Turbo lets you customize a number of its settings to optimize it for your level of risk or to boost it’s performance. This has seen many a trader fall foul of FAP Turbo in the past so my tests below will only run on the default settings.

14th July 2010:
- Have just realized that FAPTurbo hasn’t traded since 30th June 2010. I’m guessing something has been programmed in to prevent it from trading after this date. I’ll investigate and see if I can get it working again. Has anyone else noticed this? Note, it’s running on demo only.
17th July 2010:
- Found out that my software had expired. I updated it today so note that the above test has missed the results for the first half of July.
26th September 2010:
- Updated version from 50 to 51.
18th December 2010:
- Updated version from 51 to 52. New currency pair added: EURUSD.
12th February 2011:
- FapTurbo has graduated. However, not all pairs have performed well during the testing phase. Its graduate status relies on EURCHF, EURUSD and GBPCHF pairs being traded. I’ll keep the test going on all pairs to assess if this theory remains true in the future.

Between FaPTurbo and Megadroid, which is better ?
They are very different EAs when it comes down to how they perform. I prefer Megadroid head and shoulders above FAPTurbo simply because it wins on a more consistent basis, however, it doesn’t trade as often. You can sometimes go 1-2 weeks without a trade. On the other hand there are times you can get 5-6 trades in one week. Also, Megadroid can be back tested consistently where as FAPTurbo has had a number of updates, so the latest version has been optimized for recent times. Previous versions, I traded live last year, had some good winning periods with specific pairs but then some bad losing ones also (which is typically when they create an updated version of the EA). Can the Megadroid and Fabturbo work in micro lot size?

Yes, they can work on any Lot size. 0.01 Lots and upwards.
I notice there is a different version for megadroid called megadroid pro and different version Fapturbo called Fabturbo Evolution. what is this all about? kind of confuse with it.

MegaDroid Pro and FapTrubo Evolution are extended versions of the original EA’s. MegaDroid Pro trades more currency pairs, and from recollection isn’t as accurate by any means as MegaDroid itself (I have a copy of it so will add it to the site shortly). Evolution is the same as FAPTurbo but built to run on a specific Swiss broker that doesn’t have an MT4 platform (Dukascopy – $10,000 USD minimum opening deposit). So, in short, you’re still better to go with the originals IMHO.
i have been using FAPTv50 since 01.07.2010 and so far has given me nothing but profits. started with a live gomarkets account 194euro and i am 50euro with profit.thats 26% growth have 3 trades running with -8.00euro loss
I notice the fapturbo and megadroid was selling very cheap in ebay.com. what is the different with those in ebay?
eBay falls down when it comes to receiving updated versions of the software. The latest MegaDroid update improved performance 10 fold. FapTurbo send updated versions regularly. You also don’t get the money back guarantee, I presume, if you don’t like them.

it’s a good choice to use Fapturbo on EURGBP or EURCHF.
And Megadroid on EURUSD. so to avoid correlation risk. (avoid both Ea’s running on EURUSD long term)
I have been running fapturbo for 3 months tomorrow and my broker I’m using is liteforex.org, for 2 months it was running well and now on the 3rd month (finishing) it has started losing…badly (now next month only fap brings out an update on their software) so for me it seems fap is inconsistent. Cam says a lot of robots are having bad day today which actually MEANS that these robots TOO are inconsistent, they only profit when they feel like it. for me Megadroid is STILL consistently making profits (sorry, i forgot to mention->i got mega AND fap) I’ve been running megadroid since Feb 2010 and seems to be doing well in AAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL market conditions (and people rave so much about fap??? I wonder why?). Just to let you all know, fap made 26% last month for me, it seemed to be climbing out of it’s LAST loss past two days and then this MORNING (GMT=3) the EUR/CHF pair hit aNOTHER big loss. if this robot is SO good it’ll make UP that loss and give 20% by tomorrow (3 months), which i SERIOUSLY doubt, will let you all know tomorrow what happens. I don’t know, to me it seems this robot is broker sensitive which means it CAN’T be trusted. Forgot to mention, I’ve also been running fap demo on fastbrokers broker and THAT seems to be doing fine, JUST recovered from ITS losses so we’ll see by tomorrow about that one too, it too has been giving 20% for past 2 months, my account is now sitting on 0 (breakeven) with this broker
If you want to run FAP, then open account with ATC or MB Trading. Only way to profit.
Hi Al, thanks for advice, i found the problem though, it seems fap IS a good bot, my log files from lite says “common error” which means it didn’t CLOSE in time! I’m now going to run megadroids auto detector, a package i got FROM them to put on your VPS see check for these damn disconnections but thanks anyway Al, who is ATC and MB, never heard of them (shoo but i’m disappointed with my broker, i wrote their engineers a little love letter and they said that they’d look into the problem!) problem is, how does one find a broker who uses rebates (for trading), with lite you at least get rebates AS YOU TRADE, is why i LIKED them
Are rebates really important against good and profitable trading? You gotta choose one.
Greetings all, just to let you know…i must apologize to my broker, this incident that i had with fapturbo DOESN’T seem to be broker fault, i had some SERIOUS problems thurs and fri night with my VPS!! Hackers got in few months ago and installed prime95 which is a torture program that caused MAJOR issues with my host AND vps, i had to get my guys to format because they found other users on VPS so basically this program was running resulting in overusage of memory and CPU and so my robot wasn’t working properly resulting in….big loss
so my advice if you get VPS or some server is use STRONG password. Also, it doesn’t matter HOW many times one changes their pass with this program because it creates a “hole” giving easy access anytime. Well, my hosting guys have beefed up security BIG time so we’ll see now 
sorry fap and sorry liteforex. Hope THIS sorts the problem although, even though I’m getting “common error” i still get profits so far (I’ll get hold of my broker and find out about that). By the way i think sorry to alpari as well because i was demoing them TOO and i was getting same result what i JUST got now, breakeven then BACK into negative.

Hey guys. I have recently stumbled upon a change to fapturbo that could benefit greatly or lose drastic. Through the settings, I’ve turned the longterm fap to a scalper. I make a new setting for it at the beginning of every week and I let that setting run for the entire week. So far, I’ve been successful and I would like to share my settings with you. I am using Fapturbo ver50. Can you please tell me which is the best pair for this. I tried USDCAD, USDCHF both did good but i liked USDCHF More. Now i am trying GBPUSD.

Have a look here to see all the stats around the test results above. You’ll notice that the only profitable pairs are (in order) EURGBP, USDCAD and GBPCHF.
The settings are default and can be found listed at the top of the backtest results here. Hope this helps.

Who is your fapturbo broker? and how long have you been trading fap for? I traded 2 months and it started losing (guess my broker actually sucks), here are words from an ECN broker himSELF (we skype now and again)”except, with fapturbo the chances of you loosing with any broker within a one year period is 99.5%” who is that 0.5%???? is there such? Cams seems to be getting sucess with Alpari? I don’t know what I did wrong but i was either breakeven or losing with them? My broker is lite by the way
my broker is 1pipfix or Investtechfx or …i am sure you won’t see much positive reviews for that…but they are doing good job for me atleast…i don’t have much knowledge of forex so i am happy with their performance

I have been using Fapturbo for 2 months now and using the default settings and just change lot size or pair thats all…now i am using GBPUSD and yes it does loose 1 in 10 and sometimes that is a huge one but not many like that
Vishal, let me know how it goes please, as I said, I’m looking at FXCBS at mo because they are bringing in micro’s as well one of these days. Well support told me that they are the ONLY one’s out of 50 companies who have stuck with fap so they MUST be good, I HAVE tried them before, did request withdrawal and got it in few days so they DO give your money
I haven’t seen anything REALLY BAD about them yet so. (i must say, although my demo is still in negative it’s LESS than half it WAS and the week hasn’t finished yet 
My first week ended on 4% up so let’s see. I also asked them the way the feeds are going currently, DO they STAY this constant and they said that (pardon the boasting…THEIR words, not mine) their feeds are ALWAYS good LOL so far I’m happy. But MY strategy for next year is:
Liteforex: Megadroid, NoName and green forex because these bots trades are HIDDEN from the broker (this broker has rebates which pay immediately which is why I’m using them)
FXCBS: Fapturbo (hell, if one can find a broker that WORKS with fapturbo WHY NOT!)
Well, i do pay the commission to Investtechfx but yes i got my money as well

Do you suggest that FXCBS doesn’t charge any commission and has good spreads? Honestly saying i am satisfied with my broker as of now as i do get profits but they do charge commission so for example if i play with .50 lot then they charge $5 for that and for 1.0 $10 .
I am not sure if every broker does that or not as i don’t have much knowledge about Forex to be honest.
And yes one more thing..my broker’s spread is fixed…so its always 0.5 or 0.6 for some major currencies like USDCAD, USDCHF, EURUSD, USDCHF etc.

FXCBS they DO charge comm (80c per mini lot traded). What i suggest you do (I’m gonna do the same) is demo FX and see how it goes because IF this broker of yours suddenly starts losing (not saying it will but just in case) at LEAST you have emergency broker to rely on so you don’t sit and demo AFTER the loss of your broker which is losing money in process (time is money). Just an idea

I’m so greatful you are testing this robot and LIVE too, I spoke to my proposed new broker concerning trading all sorts of GOOD brokers and they agree, if YOUR (alpari-with good feeds etc) is trading well then ALL good brokers should do well, so if a robot isn’t doing great with alpari chances are it’s not the BROKER to blame, it’s the ROBOT. So once you have good broker one of your worries are out the way (TRYING to find good broker) now you just have to focus on the good roby’s

Vishal, if you perhaps looking at FXCBS with Fapturbo it seems they NOW offering commission free accounts, they just upping the spread very slighly to cover (I think it’s good idea), well, just to let y’all know, I’ve been demoing this broker for a month (tomorrow) and SO far I’ve picked up 6% for NOW (depending on tonights trades too, let’s wait and see what happens), I think that’s pretty good considering the first week it hit a stop on one of the pairs. If one goes with the settings that fap recommends on their site for MANUAL MM adjustment (0.1 for $1000, 0.2 for $2000 etc) then THIS is the results so far. I’m going to keep testing them until year end with fap cos according to fap’s site these are the guys to use with their bot

Yeah, it could be higher than what it’s currently set to, but for anyone starting out this is probably a good setting to use.

I’ve TRIED running Rob’s settings but I never came right, either a loss or breakeven, fxtradingreviews ALSO tested his settings with good results on DEMO but real was bad…and he used ALPARI (I use lite at the moment but I’m changing to FXCBS year end), gonna run default fapturbo and megadroid (last month on demo fapturbo gave me 20% profit on this broker and support claims that their clients are saying demo and live are exactly the same)

Investtech is good but i have been doing some really bad trades and using plenty of robots but nothing is making me rich fast
… i must say though that Fapturbo and Megadroid are really good…i tried SRS trend rider and forex cash siphon, Forex U-turn just released but i got my money back for all of them…
there’s only one problem with Investtech..that if you setup your SL and TP then you won’t be able to modify that if you are too close to market value..so for e.g. if you feel that i have enough profit and lets take it but you won’t be able to if you have set your TP and that is near the market value…i hope i explained in an okay way..

Although guys, I’m starting to battle with liteforex, seems you profit with them for short while then you start losing. from next year I’m trading with FXCBS who are looking REALLY good with fap and mega (Sept month=19%, by end of week will let you know what oct month says but SO far it went 20% in negative and last week caught up MOST of its losses, it’s now sitting on -8%)

Lite promises triple deposit but still, from my experience it just keeps losing nowdays. I’ve seen FXCBS also makes a lot more TRADES than lite AND it climbed out of its “hole” which it created, lite just kept LOSING-DON’T go for lite. As SOON i get my bonus I’m pulling out because then at least I’ll basically get MOST of my money back

saw your results on Zulu and had to talk turbo I’ve had a look for the ‘holy grail’ of settings on the FAP site and all I can find is the usual sales junk. I can’t find them in the members area or the forum on their either do you have a link? Also have you amended them since version 52 and do you use any of the newer pairs besides the original 4 scalper pairs?

I’ve just updated the demo above to version 52. The new pair EURUSD has also been added. I’m not too sure what settings you’re referring to. I use default settings and any others I tried in the past that promised great things, either did well and crashed or never did well from the outset.

The reason I was asking is that the profit curve recently didn’t have the usual FAP T spikes and I was wondering if anything beyond the basics was going on. I was still running on the old version and going through the usual boom and bust
that we all know from FAP T I’ve updated to V52 so hopefully might see some better results, its not a lot to ask for better software performance after 52 revisions…Megadroid manages it and has only had 3 to date!

Yeah, what I can’t work out is why FAPTurbo has to keep releasing new versions… is it purely a case of curve fitting??
My head says YES they do after all have to keep finding new (cautious) buyers who find confidence in a 3rd party 60 day money back guarantee and critically current performance to ride out those 60 days. Lets not be funny they have the cash in this market and the skills to pay the bills you’d think they’d just reverse engineer some of the bots that they know outperform theirs in the areas FAP T is deficient.

Also, I’ve noticed some stay away form the long term strategy on the eur/usd…is that what you recommend? Because the eur/usd you’re trading is scalper not long term right?
Yeah, all trades above are scalper strategy only. No long term.
Surprised that you haven’t done an evaluation of GPS BOT. Mine paid for itself in the first two weeks…. at quite a low risk setting on the worst broker (Forex.com). It only trades 5 to 9 times a week but hasn’t recorded a loss yet.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing… it’s been on the verge of my testing list… will look into it in more detail again.
