Personally, I have live traded Forex MegaDroid for over 6 months now, on 3 different brokers from across the globe and in summary I rate this as the best Forex EA on the market. The only limitations I have found are:
- It only trades Monday through Thursday nights (European time)
- It has been known to go a couple of weeks without a trade (but this hasn’t happened since their update)
- When it looses a trade, which isn’t often, it can be significant. With Recovery Mode I’ve claimed back my 3 loses in under 2 weeks.

2 More trades both losers.Seems to give trades near Aussie open every time. May have to dump FXCM and try demo on another broker.Note all my settings are OK.
MD settings are standard, aggressive on, recovery on, risk 3.0 (acually first was risk on 1, then 2, and now testing on 3) – FinFx ECN seems to work best, picking up most trades. Have also tested alpari ECN and norm accounts, and some smaller brokers. – ThinkForex is not one of them, and views are not live, sorry.

Guys, there seems to be a problem with getting Megadroid, I don’t know if anyone ELSE has picked this problem up but it keeps throwing me an error of bad credit card or something (clickbank), I HAVE contacted them and they say I must get hold of clickbank, I’ve DONE this even BEFORE I got hold of mega and clickbank STILL hasn’t got back to me.
I’ve tried 3 different browsers (firefox, IE and Chrome), I’ve tried 4 different credit cards AND tried buying growth bot, STILL the same. has anyone got any success from buying lately????

Setting your risk at 0.7 means you are risking 70% of your account per trade, so if you win you will win a lot of cash in proportion to your account. Quite risky, but I have also risked in that vicinity with md and made alot of money. I’m now more conservative because I’m now trading on profit only.

Yes, there are difference between brokers, best is a reputable broker with low spread.
You can set your own risk level independently on zulutrade.
I am putting this here because it is at least somewhat on topic. I actually tried MD, and it did well but I have at this point stopped using it, which brings me to my comment. I wanted to thank you for introducing me to Zulutrade, since setting up my live account with them on 7/22 I have made over 300 pips. It is a great service and BEST TRADERr and Alpha & Oxygen are both great SPs. Thanks for the great advice!
I believe there are is an original basic version and that mine is the PRO. It’s getting hard to differentiate between criticisms of MegaDroid but then again most seem to be laudatory – at least until you fathom that users are happy until the big losses occur – and neither version trades daily or even weekly. Low turnover will mean that losses will be few and far between I guess. Not sure if it’s my settings, but returns are generally poor and losses are fairly frequent and significant. So if this one’s at the top of your totem pole, just how bad are the also-rans? What about testing the Steinitz series of bots? FRactal Pterodactyl, MAS Hedge, Wave Traveller etc. Few reviews available on them but in my demos they make money overall – but only if they all run on the one account. Huge drawdowns however. What about reviewing Millionaire Pips and Auto Trade Fusion (or are you not an affiliate for those?)
Sorry to hear MD is not working out for you. I rank it on my own experience and I’ve made money from it consistently since I started using it.
The Pro version is a different story and I wouldn’t recommend it.
Keep and eye out for Millionaire Pips, I have a copy and will run it in the lab starting this week, and thanks for the recommendations regarding the other EA’s you mention… I’ll be sure to check them out.

Hi Larksen, the demo account running MD crashed after 15th June, so missed the trade. It’s now running again. I experienced some DD on the 22nd also, which came back to close out at break even.

Yes, but Wall Street Forex Robot is hot on it’s heals. MD did suffer a SL hit of 60 pips last week and I see what the problem is. I haven’t updated the chart above after the lastest MD demo account was stopped by Alpari. latest chart added now. Thanks for making me aware of this.

The only ones I use that accept US customers are AAAFX who have max 200:1 leverage.

You’re right, there are a heap of FX products launched every year, almost a few every week. My view is that reason the MD and FT guys promote alot of the new “unproven” systems is to keep the cost of their products low, i.e. they earn revenue by promoting these products which means they are able to offer their products cheaply (which they do). If they didn’t do this you’d probably find we’d be paying more like $300-500 for MD instead of $67.
Sometimes they partner with the right products and other times they don’t… leaving you with the difficult decision to jump on board when products are in their infancy.
Well… that’s my view anyway.

andi: Gomarkets is a great choice for you. You can trade pretty much any small amount and they dont require a minimum amount in the account either,i.e you can have it remain open with $0.

I have on default with a lotsize of 0.10, yet when a trade is placed, lotsize is 0.38, how do I make this trade 0.10 every trade?
It sounds like you’ve set it to trade 10% of your account. To trade 0.1 lots change the Lot Size setting to 0.1 and the Risk Level to 0.

I have downloaded it and kept it running since Friday. I know that, it will take couple of days before it start to trade. It normally doesn’t trade on Friday, Sat, Sun and let see what it will bring this week. I kept everything on default settings.
I have this EA on my FxPro account but it doesn’t make many trades. Usually 1/week with 3-4 pips. Now I’m testing it on my FinFx ECN demo account so I’m looking forward the results. The spread is a little bit smaller on the FinFx account but not as small as I expected. What is the average spread at the STP/ECN brokers? On my FinFx account the spread is usually 0,5-1 pip smaller than on the FxPro but sometimes almost the same and besides that the commission is $3,5/lot. I also use MillionDollarPips and I don’t know if it’s a problem to run them on the same account because both of them is running on EURUSD. Can they influence each other’s efficiency? Thanks!
after having read about 1000 emails and comments from everyone from here to timbukto, is it really just a case of buying MD? it rates well on several sites and its website makes it sound amazing.yet there are still very conflicting comments about it on this forum so what is the real story? i understand and agree with you Cam that overdrive has a ridiculous stop limit(which it hit today as it happens)hence this email. i am not keen on any of these new ea’s because they are new and untested.is it not a much safer bet to buy something with a long and proven track record?i want to buy MD but just want one more bit of positive encouragement if possible,cheers!
Just a quick response, I have bought the software 5 days ago and made only 8 trades and all in profit. However, the account is running with only £50. I know very little to see any profit but so far made no loss with this. just an update. Moreover, it is not only the EA that is going to earn your money and you can go to auto pilot. Sometimes, you need to factor other conditions. i.e. who is your broker, what are spreads like , your leverage set and others all together.
Anyway, I am very new to this and keep me updated please.

I had my MD running but today, on EUR/USD pair it is showing : “Temporarily trading has been disabled due to dangerous market condition. To ignore this message turn the remote safety mode to false.” Have you had that before. It is interesting.
No. It must be part of the latest upgrade. I’m leaving it enabled as I don’t feel the need to be risky with MD.

Question regarding Megadroid! I set it up for 2 accounts one Demo with GoMarkets and one live with NordFX. The EA is installed correctly but is not trading at all. It send continuously messages like: Monitoring spread, Analyzing market, Determining direction…but no trades are performed…before contacting the maker support maybe somebody here can give me a hint if I’m doing something wrong…Just to mention that in the live account are just 50$…but in the Demo are over 20.000$. thanks
Has it also got a reference to “RemoteSafetyMode” on the chart, saying Trading Disabled? If so, I think this is a new feature they have added where they remotely stop it from trading during unpredictable times. You can always turn it off to start seeing trades, although it only trade a few times and sometimes will have a two week dry spell.
Yes Cam, it has that message but as per user guide I disable it…Set the “RemoteSafetyMode” to False. Still nothing…Now I’m making a demo account with the recommended broker FinFX just to see if is working with this broker
Even with FinFX, set as described on 1H timeframe the Megadroid does not open any trades…I’ll wait for London tonight to see if will open any trades.

My MD started to trade 5 days after I have it up and running. Currently, not running as I have the remote safety & planning not to trade until it is gone because so far I have 17 trade on my £50 account with no loss. So, I will try my best keep it in auto pilot and let it go as it is. £50 now became £72.37 in two weeks and on default mode.

I started the Megadroid 2 days ago….Yesterday did a trade and close it in profit 0.10$…since than complete silence…It’s true my account has now less than 50$ due another trade…and I’m thinking maybe that the small amount has something to do with the trades efficiency…This EA should be very intelligent in determining market conditions…so if I think if it can not find enough funds in the account it won’t engage in any trading activity if the market conditions are not 100% suitable for this…

I have the same. I need to have a look at the whole EA, because the EA is as if sleeping, I could see various opportunity and made several trade but the EA was as you said it is in silence.
I am learning from the EA’s trade and now doing my manual trade by following the MD’s trends and other indicators.

Mine is not showing that “Trading suspended due to dangerous market conditions” and is shows Authenticated and Aggressive:True but still no trades even the market conditions are good.

I got the Megadroid over a week ago a I think is the latest one (v1.37). Since I got it it did only 1 trade…with a 0.10$ profit

MD support team sent me an email today regarding to an Optimizer for MD named MaxxEDD that is not yet released.
Please let me know, what brokers do you use and what amount….they are mentioning that even 150$ are enough for this robot to trade.
I’ve had it work on Gomarkets $2000+, Alpari UK £500 & £100, and latitude fx on $100+… All real money, via vps and home pc at times.

Personally, I don’t know. But I do know the MD guys often promote FinFX to their customers, so I’d assume it would work well with them. I have used it on many different brokers with good success.
i started with finfx last week, so far 2 won trades, +20 pips.
Can I ask what is your deposit, if is a real money account and what latency you have with FinFX…mine is terrible with any broker cause im on the west coast averaging 182ms
It is 3k live account, I have a vps with sweeden dedicated, latency is 10ms. Finfx support can suggest you a cheaper vps with 3ms, can’t remember it’s name.

Anyone tried this new MAxEDD? it was advertised directly by MD people. It should be a setting indicator for MD. It is also provided an Alpari certified real result with MD tuned with MaxEDD….

And about Megadroid…not trading…is something not unusual as per tech support…It’s a robot that will a trade here and there….and yes they are profitable but to make a profit from it you will need a serious account and a serious risk…like Cam mentioned 10 % but 10% of your account is not too safe in my opinion…

lots 1.00 leverage 10:1 warning your account leverage is less than 1:100,the lot size will be reduced to prevent a loss’

I’d like to share my experience about this EA.
I use it at the broker recommended by the MD team and it performes well.
It opens trades at the same time every night between 23:00-0:00 server time. The conservative setting opens trades almost every night with around 10 pips profit target and until now it reached it every time. The other setting is working very rarely and it doe not make profit but only 0.5 pips which is less then the commission so that is not a very good bussines but it always covered by the other trade and I give the chance to make bigger profit once so I let it to trade.
The current setting are 0.2 risk and aggressive, and my account size is 2K (it was 2,5K but the milliondollarpips made a big loss and I still did not recover from it) so the profit is around 25-29$ per trade around 4 times a week.
I’m happy with this result but afraid to increase the risk level because the stop is somewhere around 100 pips and I think I would scream if it would reach it with high risk setting.
I guess if you are making a profit with megadroid i would just let it run as it is. It would only take a couple of loosing trades to desimate your account if you increase the risk settings. i would be interested in your experience with milliondollar pips as i was thinking of running it along side megadroid? Im trying Toms ea on a demo account at the moment as its on a 2 week free trial and it seems to be doing well at the moment, with plenty of trades to keep you interested.
last night (uk) megadroid made 2 trades within a minute of each other, im only running on the 1hr time frame,(demo) is this normal? i have never seen it happen before
I can do, most likely if you have Aggressive mode turned on.

Yes you can by increasing the percentage of risk. Increase it till it reach the lot size you desire.
Set Risk to 0.0 and then set your Lots to your desired level. It will then consistently trade at that level.

Hi Jin, Dont forget megadroid only trades about twice a week and doesnt trade at all on friday. But so far i have not had a loosing trade and it seems the best EA i have seen so far.
I have the MD set up in a live 500$ account and it’s making one or 2 trades a week…Probably I should increase the lot size cause at this frequency it will make the first 100$ in a decade

Hi Cam, please forgive what is probably stupid questions but i assume that all brokers know when you are running an EA, so does that render any stealth mode redundent? and do brokers deliberatly manipulate the market so you will hit a stop loss if your trade gets close to it?
Honestly, I don’t know. If they look at patterns then then may be able to pick up if people are using an EA. Stealth mode often sets fake TP and SL to stop the broker from stop hunting.

Reducing the slippage will mean it will trade less, but be more accurate. I haven’t tried it so don’t recommend it.
